Don't Eat Here
We went to the den to get a nice meal. The prices were very high so I expected that it would at least be good. Of the 5 of us that ate only two of us could even eat the food. That night the two that did spent the evening throwing up. After the meal I asked for a price break for the poorly prepared food and was told to take a hike. This place is great! If you can't afford it going into it, don't complain about the price, man! We live in Alaska, one of the most expensive places to live, so like it or lump it, that's what it is!

This is a Fairbanks mainstay, and while I'm not a HUGE fan, the food is great, the ambiance is typical interior Alaskan, the decor is beautiful, and the service is great! I've spent time after the meals talking with Stu (the owner), and they've always been so genial and warm. It is a bit pricy, but what do you do? We paid over $5.35 for a gallon of milk 5 years ago, remember that?!

I go here with my family regularly and even celebrate special occasions here. It's a typical North Pole/Fairbanks restaurant but with a Christmas theme.
There are a variety of dishes available from seafood, handmade pizza, to generous sized burgers. I recommend the sauted mushrooms.

We love the food and the Italian dishes are tasty and slightly high, but not a shocking price for residents of the state. I recommend it highly for all and tourists just passing through.

The pub is classy and calm, well maintained and homey just as a small town should have. It's like walking into an episode of Cheers.

Overall I say worth the money and service. The atmosphere is inspiring to see more of our other fine restaurants that offer unique dishes.    [29 Jan 2007 20:16:51]
