Once-great and still pretty danged good
Ray's was once the premier seafood restaurant in southcentral Alaska, and although time and complacency have taken their toll, it's still one of the better seafood eateries in Alaska. The decor is showing its age, as is the lack of creative energy coming from the kitchen, but if you fed twenty-thousand cruise ship passengers over the course of four summer months, you'd be burned-out, too.    [03 Oct 2003 05:45:32]

Disappointment
Followed by recommendation by Frommer's and "Best Places in Alaska" we dined in this venue instead of going to Chinook which was recommended by the locals.

We were 3 and every dish was badly cooked! I rate it as the worst dinner we had in Alaska in 2 weeks. Worse even than lodge food.
