Great Food, Atmosphere Gone
Returned to area to find restaurant moved. Same food but most of the charm of the old location was absent.    [21 Jul 2004 17:04:42]

Great Food
Love to visit. Crablegs are great, but so are all the other dishes. Terrific salad dressing.    [21 Aug 2004 15:16:47]

Worse than average
Had the crablegs and the meat stuck to the shell when you cracked them open. Way over done. Service was average    [18 Nov 2005 16:43:56]

First Impression
Atmosphere very casual, web site informative before visit - salad dressing was fantastic, sauces good, food was served fast, order was correct, food properly cooked - would eat there again.    [27 Jun 2006 21:05:40]

Worth the drive!
My husband and I drove over from Mobile to try the Old Bay Steamer. First, the server was very polite without being "syrupy" polite. It was more like having someone you know take care of you, so that was nice.

The bloody mary's are spicy and really good. I recommend several of them! We started with their marinated crab claws and they were unbelieveable. Their homemade salad dressing is in the marinade and gives the claws a touch of sweetness that was just right. I highly recommend trying those!

The salad was fresh, with black olives, grape tomatoes, purple onion, and lots of coutons...and served with that fabulous homemade honey ranch vinagrette dressing. Very good.

I had the steamed oysters and shrimp, which turned out to be royal reds much to my surprise. They were seasoned well and perfectly cooked. The half dozen steamed oysters on the half shell were a nice size, cooked well, and very tasty. I was so happy that the left the cooked oysters in the shell instead of throwing them on the plate like many other places do. My husband had the shrimp and crab legs. He said that the legs were very sweet and cooked perfectly, and admitted he could never steam them that well (he's steamed lots of them, so that's saying something).

Overall, we are very pleased with every aspect of our meal and we can't wait to go back.    [16 Jul 2006 20:57:47]
