Great Southern Food! Old school house is the setting for this back roads Alabama restaurant. All you can eat buffet style. Fried chicken/chicken livers etc. Green beans and other Southern favorites. Top it off with a piece of Pecan Pie! [18 Feb 2007 14:28:59]

Best Pie Ever! Best pie, best lima beans, best cornbread, best fried chicken. Best southern cooking I've tasted in 35 years in Alabama. And the setting is pretty cool too. It really is an old schoolhouse, and the decor reflects that heritage. Vintage portraits of past presidents and a large blackboard, etc. The serving staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and you won't need to eat again for several days! Did I mention the pie? I've had better. Although the idea of eating at a converted schoolhouse is nice, on the three different occasions that I have dined here, the buffet food has been cold. The buffet menu was the same each time. The menu was also rather limited, and for a southern style country restaurant I couldn't even order mashed potatoes for my toddler because they did not have them. The wait staff was friendly the second time I dined there, but was not impressed on my other visits. It was also not very clean. Sorry, but I would recommend dining elsewhere. I will not waste my money here again. I was quite disappointed. [10 Oct 2007 18:27:12]
