Fried Flounder - Yes
Doc's is a basic restaurant with an oddball parking arrangement. I mention the parking because the restaurant gets packed out and there is no place to park. Also, there is a serious safety issue getting in and out at this busy intersection.

Now, the food. I love the fried flounder, all-you-can-eat, about $10.95. There is nothing broiled or grilled. Just fried. No seafood sauce. You mix ketchup and horseradish and make your own. No baked potatoes. Fries only.

Everything...
We make trips at least 5 or more time a year and Doc's is one of the only places we eat! Anything and everything on the menu is great and they have the coldest beer anywhere. The maneuvers and dodging traffic is worth it...

The fried shrimp is my all time favorite the batter is light and never overcooked. Always great service and my son loves the wait staff.    [02 May 2006 18:08:28]

Blue Crab Claws
Wonderful place, the kids can draw all over the walls and windows. The parents can have a nice cold beer, and great sea food. I love the blue crab claws. We come to Gulf Shores once a year, and this is the first and last place we eat. It is worth the the risk of the buy intersection. I live in Gulf Shores and Doc's is one of my favorite places to eat the seafood is fresh and cooked just right. getting seafood at one of the national chain restaurants it has been frozen and they will cook it to death.    [28 Jun 2007 17:19:13]

Great Seafood Shack
It's one of our favorite places at Orange Beach and a favorite of locals and visitors who are lucky enough to find it. It is very casual and laid back and a perfect place to carry a family. Great oysters on the half shell, steamed Royal Red Shrimp, and some of the best fried seafood on the beach. Not All Fried
Went to Doc's recently. Wanted to add that there are steamed seafood options and the special the night I was there was grilled shrimp. Everything was incredibly good. Best gumbo and shrimp I have ever had. Fried flounder excellent too! I understand the Doc's in Gulf Shores has a buffet and crab legs too.    [18 Jul 2007 08:08:35]

outstanding Fire hot wings
Hot wings at Doc's are amazing but bring a pitcher of milk b/c this babies will make you cry before they touch your lips. Amazing tastey and and amazingling outstandins kick in the mouth. The fried clams stips are delicious too. Oh and if your a fisherman or fisherwoman ^_- then youll love the fact that if you bring in your catch they will skin and fry it up for ya. Best seafood in Orange Beach (Great Name)
We have been coming to Orange Beach for several years and always eat at Doc's. We found their ad in the telephone book and tried it because of the name. We go back everytime we are in the area for the food. Great shrimp, fish and onion rings. Any food place named after our family nickname has to be great. Great Seafood
We go to Orange Beach every year and this is one of our favorites. I have never had anything that wasn't great. The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Also have fantastic sweet tea. Our vacation ALWAYS includes a trip to Doc's.    [18 Jun 2008 17:49:48]
