Not Recommended for eating dinner We walked in at 7:30. Smoking was full. Two different waitresses asked us to wait at the bar if we would like to wait on a table. We ordered one drink, people got up from the smoking section but the tables were not cleaned off. A couple came in and requested smoking, the bar area didn't have two chairs together so they stood and had someone clean off a table and they sat down. The busboy then cleaned off the second table when another couple walked right up and sat down at that table. We at that point called over the waitress and told her that two people had taken both the tables. She immediately cleaned off another table. We finally sat down at 8 p.m. I told the waitress about this happening and she got the manager. He apologized and gave us a gift certificate for our next visit. He offered to buy our dinner. He said that he had talked to both waitresses and said it would not happen again. But at that point both tables were being served food when we had just got to sit down. At 9:15 we still had not been served our main course meal. The manager said well your crab cake order was 43 minutes ago. I went up to the waitress and asked where our meal was. She said it took time since we had ordered the crab cakes and crawfish. Two hours later we left the restaurant still without eating our main course meal. Please believe me, this letter that you see now will also be sent to the editor of the local newspapers. Thank you. At this point we will not return to this restaurant unless changes are made in their staff neither will my friends and relatives. At one point I was planning a big night out with my friends for all their help, I will not be taking them her [16 Apr 2003 22:55:45]

I LOVE this place! In response to that last review, I would suggest that you try the Rose one more time. I just started eating there about four months ago with my boyfriend and have fell in love with the Filet Mignon, medium, blackened. That is what he usually gets and suggested that I try it. The filet is literally the best steak I have ever put in my mouth! The seasonings that the chef uses to blacken it are on hit! (WONDERFUL chef I should say) When you bite down into the steak, you taste mouth-watering juices and nothing less than the best tenderness you can think of. To go with my steak I either have wild rice, crawfish rice or steak fries with buttermilk dressing. It is all so delicious! For an appetizer, we sometimes have crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms or crawfish tails. I never can decide between these three choices. I don't like crab, but I love their crab cakes. The mushrooms have this wonderful sauce of butter and some other things in it that is to die for. Oh, I almost forgot! Their soaked salad is banging! It has just the right amount of their house dressing (or oil and vinegar, whatever it is) to wet your taste buds. I have been raving about the Rose ever since I've started eating there. I have been there probably twenty times in the past couple of months. I recommend this place to everyone. I believe the waitors and waitresses are great servers. We never have to ask twice for anything and they don't care how long you stay. I will always pay for the filet at The Faded Rose or anything else to that matter, like the blackened Red Snapper. Lee, if you think it is possible I would suggest giving it one more try, especially for the filet. You just had a bad experience and I understand. That's what happened to me at a really popular restaurant that just opened up and I have yet to go back, but I will one more time. P.S. I don't recommend the one on Bowman, I always go to the one on Rebsamen. (oldie, but goodie) [29 May 2003 16:33:58]

Not recommended Went there for lunch after a great haircut at Salon Neuveau. Was not impressed. The place was more than half empty, yet it took our waitress over 5 minutes to seat us. We decided to grab a seat ourselves. The food arrived in speedy fashion, but the lettuce in my saled was turning brown and my wife's food was cold. Back it went. I also have heard they do not accept patrons with CCW's. How they can turn away law abiding citizens with guns is beyond me, but we won't be going back. [20 Jul 2003 12:09:35]

the best THis restaurant has more to offer than just the best blackened filet, it has atmosphere and people the rest of Little Rock sometimes lacks. [03 Feb 2007 14:55:15]

Best of Little Rock I am appalled at all of the bad experiences that these guests of the Faded Rose have had. I have been there many times and go almost weekly and have never experienced these types of problems. The atmosphere at the rose is one of down home louisiana with some of the best food that the city offers. No chain-dining here, and no stuffy people please. Most that extend patronage to the rose are couples and families that have a thirst to quench and a stomach to fill, and they have always satisfied both for me. [05 Mar 2007 15:45:11]
