Chopping Block Steakhouse
The place is beautiful if you like romance, candle light, and a rustic country home feeling. The food was excellent. The staff extremely friendly and helpfull. We had a wonderful evening there. GOOD FOOD....BUT....
The food is usually top notch and the desserts are decadent, but, the owner's have made me feel anything but welcome over numerous visits. I even went in to buy a rather large gift certificate and left feeling as though I'd been a bother to the lady whose family owns the place and who "waited" on me. The wait staff is at hand when needed, but, almost seem as though they're afraid to take a deep breath....perhaps the heavy-handed owners should lighten up a little and enjoy life themselves, which in turn might allow the staff to enjoy doing their respective jobs. The food is good but the ordering area can get a little backed up during peak business times.
