satisfied human When you first view the menu, you may think that a number "1" was accidentally placed in front of the real price (for instance, 17.95 instead of 7.95) so it may seem pricey. But the food and pleasant countrified ambience is worth it, homemade-from-scratch-beans, mashed potatoes; Yet I must say the brisket I ordered was quite fatty but very tender. Stay away from the "all you can eat" buffet (mac n cheese, beans, cheap stuff) and order a meal that you know you will want in a restaurant. Great selection of beers. [07 Feb 2004 13:50:35]

No better place... It may be far away from where you are staying, but the Frog is worth it. Have you ever been to a restaurant that makes the '15 minute wait time' feel like nothing? That's how the Frog is. Take it from me. Go on a Sunday. Last time I was there it was all you can eat. And at the frog, they mean it. That means that every time one of the sassy waitresses shows up, you choose a new dish. It was $14.99 for whatever style of chicken you prefer. Or, for the truly brave, Ribs. For those of you who have never been, when they say a pound of chicken or ribs...they mean it. Beware.
If the menu says 'chicken'? Prepare. There will be an entire chicken on your table.
On top of that, you get 4 side dishes ranging from macaroni and cheese to mashed potatoes to corn to mixed veggies to...well, I can't even descrive the amount of food that they will bring you. All that I can say is that it is all delicious. In fact, I would avoid food for at least two days before showing up at Crazy Ed's. You won't want to stop the insanity at this establishment.
Oh, and if you feel the need to walk off some calories afterwards? There are many interesting shops that surround the restaurant. So, eat up, shop the calories away, and enjoy what native Arizonans consider a snack. [20 Mar 2004 04:43:21]

Unsatisfied Frog ! The food was very pricey - the cook brought our food out with a bloody apron on just disgusting !
Service was not fast to say the least. Prices were very high, 11.95 for a burger and fries.
Oh and plumbing was backed up. The whole place smelled. [08 Jan 2006 16:24:42]

Not Worth the Price The Satisfied Frog seems to have gone downhill the past couple of years. We used to enjoy taking out-of-town visitors there for dinner, but no more. The last four times we have gone to this restaurant we have regretted it. Indifferent, young and unskilled servers; dirty dishes and flatware, cold French fries, tough meat, just lackluster food overall and not worth the price. You'd do better eating at a truck stop.
I'm sure they have their specialties that are good (I think the burgers are okay), but for the most part I wouldn't recommend eating here until they clean up their act and show a little interest in the kitchen and get some new management to oversee the servers and food prep.
Probably the best thing here is their Satisfied Frog beers and ales. Maybe if you drink enough of those the food isn't half bad, but I doubt it. :^( [05 Jan 2007 16:56:32]
