Unhappy in general
We have eaten at the Golden Horseshoe several times before and have been very happy. We ate there on 1/12/05 around 7 p.m., we were a party of 6. The salad bar was excellent. Our meals took a very long time to come because the server said he was late putting the order in, although the resturant was not busy. We were seated near the kitchen so we could hear the conversation in the kitchen. Three of us had ordered baked sweet potatoes. As we sat there we heard them saying they were out of sweet potaoes so we expected that we would have to make another choice. That never happened instead 2 of us were served hard favorless sweet potatoes. We asked the server if he could do something. He took them to the kitchen to microwave. They were not any better. By this time, we were almost through with the meal, we asked for a manager as we did not want more lousy potaoes but wanted them off our bill. A person came out and said that thats what we ordered and they were out of baked sweet potatoes so they threw 2 in the micro while the third one was cooked all day in an oven. Then walked away.

One in our party ordered a full rack of ribs but could not get it off the bone. He felt that they were a "hurry up job" also.

We will probably not take anymore visitors there.    [14 Jan 2005 13:46:28]

best steaks in town
Great salad bar, huge steaks for a good price not one of the tourist traps,has a country setting, eat peanuts throw shells on the floor!Nice bar lots of boat parking    [15 Sep 2006 00:20:07]
