Branding Iron Earns 8 Balls!
I was amazed that this Steak House had not been reviewed until I realized that it is a hard-to-find local favorite with few tourists venturing across the Gila River to enjoy the best food in the Upper Gila River Valley!
On my personal rating system, Kingnormie's 8-Ball Review, the Branding Iron is a solid 8 balls, it's only rivals being our many fine Mexican food eateries in the area.

Over the years they had management and wwnership problems but, for the last 4-5 years, they have again become the stable staple we all love (my hometown, Safford, AZ) and return to over and over again.

A 40-year friend recently visited me, fresh from a big event in a Scottsdale, Arizona landmark eatery, and proclaimed the Branding Iron to be "...one hell of a lot better ...."

The Prime Rib is just that, prime. The sides, breads, vegetables and potatoes/rice are ti die for and the price is nearly half what you would pay for a lesser meal anywhere else in this area.

The Ribeye, the New York, Hamburger Steak ~ all above reproach, unequaled.

I can't swear to it but I believe they are a "Dinner Only" Establishment . . .give them a call.

They have a specified "Taco Night" and a specified "Rib Night" but I, again, refer you to your phone to get the details.

The view of the valley is unsurpassed as their building, atop a rise on the north side of the Gila River, is fitted with glass, glass, glass . . .

There is a lounge, also. I have never entered there but my friend, Charlsi, works there and that, in itself, makes it a worthy target.    [03 Mar 2008 21:41:36]
