Homey restaurant with delicious food!
My husband and I were en route from Las Vegas to Flagstaff and dying for a great meal. We were going to try the more famous Roadkill Cafe, but luckily for us it was closed and we headed across the street to Lilo's. The restaurant had a great, homey, Americana atmosphere. We had a friendly server, and the food was absolutely delicious, obviously home-cooked with very generous portions. Our family is originally from Kentucky, so it means a lot when we give high marks to fried chicken and chicken-fried stead, and Lilo's was some of the best we've ever had!    [20 Nov 2002 22:56:44]

My wife and I stop at Lilo's every time we drive by Seligman, AZ - 2 to 3 times per year. In addition to the good food as noted by 'anonymous', the carrot cake is about as good as you're likely to get anywhere.
I'm a 'breakfast kind of guy' and have not had a bad meal there yet.    [27 Mar 2003 23:58:52]

I'm a soldier, stationed at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma. My family and I were on vacation when my father recommended that we stop in for breakfast at Lilo's. My father lives in Phoenix, and on his regular trips to northern AZ, he always stops in before his return trip. The experience at Lilo's was more than I could have ever expected. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. I cannot stop thinking about the size of the biscuits and the amount of each dish that we ordered. My hunger was satisfied for the fifteen hour trip back to Ft. Sill. On more than one occasion I have (even though Lilo's probably wouldn't)thought about getting the recipe for those biscuits. Everything from the exceptionally friendly staff and service, to the meals was off of the charts. As a Drill Sergeant, and an Infantryman, I value my coffee.....Lilo's get's it right!!! Thanks again Lilo's and we will definitely be stopping in again.    [10 Aug 2003 11:51:02]

Westside Lilo's
We live over 70 miles from Seligman, AZ but do not think it is an inconvience to drive up for a meal at Lilo's. She has the best German food in Arizona. Her schnitzles, homemade German-style bread, and bratwurst are delicious. You are in for a real treat if she has gulasch for the special of the day. Besides German food, Lilo serves breakfast all day and has a variety of American entrees to choose from. The Nachos Grande are to die for! They also have a variety of delicious looking desserts, but I've always been too full after a meal to partake of these. The staff is exceptionally friendly and efficient. The restaurant has a real small town atmosphere and is decorated in Route 66 memorabilia and German accents.    [12 Jul 2004 16:56:11]

Eat at Lilo's
My buddy here in Big Bear has been buying value-priced land in and around Seligman, and has been raving about the food in this place on Route 66, so when my sister and I home-based there for vacation, train trip from Williams to the Big Ditch, (Grand Canyon), and real-estate search, we decided to see for ourselves what the food was like at Lilo's Westside Cafe...

I had fish & chips; huge & good!
Next morning went back; had biscuit & gravy, two very large eggs on the side!...left stuffed!

Toured the scenic countryside til mid-afternoon, got hungry and came back for lunch. There are other restaurants on this chunk of Route 66, but this one always has cars and trucks with Arizona license plates parked around it!!! I had a patty-melt with fries; Huge!.. The meat tasted "range-fed", and the fries probably took two potatoes to make!
Needless to say, this went on all week, we were both too full with only two reasonably-priced meals per day, never even tried any "road-kill", (even though they are right across the street).    [18 Sep 2004 04:11:03]

The 'Roadkill' scared my wife...
So we went across the street to Lilo's. My father was born Germany, and Lilo spent several years stationed there, so they spent a good hour talking. Lilo even pushed our 1 year old around in her stroller so we could have a break!

The food was first class, the people and service the best.
Will definately stop by again when traveling thru...    [01 Jan 2006 20:30:31]
