Friendly and good I have always enjoyed eating at the Acton Don Cuco's. The one in Lancaster isn't nearly as good when it comes to food or service. I highly recommend the happy hour. [12 Oct 2002 19:16:15]

Great Excellent food and service. I drive from Lancaster to eat at this restaurant rather than the one in Lancaster. The service is much better and the food is ample and tastier. Margaritas are great here as well. [15 Feb 2003 13:57:09]

Excellent I concur with the other reviewers... The Acton “Don Cuco's” is head and shoulders above any other Mexican Restaurants in the area. It can get pretty crowded at peak times but rarely is there a lengthy wait... I prefer leisurely lunches there. [17 Feb 2003 10:40:15]

good food I live in Lancaster and I always drive down to Acton to get some food. There's very good service and waiters. They have friendly hostesses and managers Sal and Abel. This restaurant is decent for the whole family so come down to Don Cucos for some Margaritas! [03 Mar 2003 21:43:57]

Originals always the best You probably prefer the Acton one over Lancaster because the Don Cucos in Burbank, Simi Valley Glendale and Acton are the only locations still owned and operated by the original owner. So if you have a choice, these four destinations are the best. Added bonus: they're (4 original) the only ones where the owner is still preparing and updating new dishes for the menu! Addictive! The Camarones con Arroz is absolutely addictive! (That's shrimp with rice, cooked with garlic and with a light ranchero sauce.)
Service is always prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Happy hour is relaxed and friendly, with hot dishes (not extensive) included. Usually makings for refried bean tostadas and some other hot dish.
Better than the Don Cuco's in Toluca Lake, which is near my workplace. [01 Apr 2004 19:58:54]

From an Employee: The Best in So Cal Don Cuco in Acton is absolutly wonderful. Great food, great waiters (ask for Luis). The girls in the front are always full of energy and ready to go. Abel and Sal are always ready to help if needed, and did I mention the food? It's to die for. People come from all over to eat here. It's one of the original 4, and I think it's the best out of all of them.
Be sure to make reservations on Friday and Saturday nights. Most of the time, no standing room! Catch the owner there on Friday nights too. Oh and during football season happy hour ends when the game does, and a fun place to hang out. [03 Jun 2006 22:04:40]
