Great Local Restaurant
Fine service and really great food. Wish the venison was still on the menu.    [04 Dec 2003 23:33:27]

I Love This Restaurant!
My friend and I went in for dinner this last Friday night. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were incredible. We both ordered the fillet mignon. It was wonderful. The service was outstanding and a great time was had by all. We would definitely return.    [03 Jan 2006 03:11:03]

The veal was just superb; my wife loved the blue cheese fillet mignon. The crab-stuffed mushrooms were to die for. I can't wait to go back.    [26 Mar 2006 18:19:59]

Nice
I had dinner here this past Sunday and couldn't believe that I have lived in Palmdale for six years and hadn't made it there any sooner! My companion had salmon that was so well prepared, it felt like butter on the tongue; I had the Cajun-style shrimp scampi, which was out of this world. The creme brulee was good. The topping was not crunchy, but rather a bit gummy due to the fact that it had probably been prepared in advance rather than just before serving, but the flavor was still there. The custard had a nice amaretto flavor, which was a nice change from the regular vanilla flavor.

I will definitely return!    [18 Oct 2006 19:33:43]

You Must Stop Here!
Vincent Hills is a hidden gem. My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick glass of wine on our way to Lancaster on business. The bar is very cozy and intimate, particularly with the fireplace on those chilly nights. While there is a fantastic wine list in the dining room, the selection by the glass is quite limited in the bar. This was the only slight disappointment. The food is awesome. Very generous portions that are reasonably priced. Service is impeccable -- friendly and knowledgeable.    [11 Feb 2007 05:12:11]

Great Restaurant - However, Get a New Bartender
Very nice atmosphere, excellent food, and nice waiters.

However, their bartender has to GO! She has been there too long and has become like a territorial dog! She is the only thing that keeps me from coming in on a consistent basis. She is downright rude to the women who want to come in have dinner and drinks and socialize at the bar.    [19 Aug 2007 14:51:58]

Great Restaurant -- Better Not Lose the Bartender
"The Hill." A great restaurant frequented by locals as well as passers-through. I know of some that drive for an hour for their lamb chops or chicken picatta. The tri-tip salad is a favorite, as is the Friday night special, Angus prime rib . Great creamed and French onion soups, too. The vegetables are cooked just right.

The bartender is one of the reasons people come back. Both diners and saloon customers will not leave until they have exchanged at least a friendly greeting with Debbie. The previous reviewer's opinion, if directed at Debbie, is a lone voice among many. And wrong.

When those who have moved out of state or even across country make a visit to "The Hill" a priority when they are in town.....Well, enough said.    [28 Sep 2007 13:37:27]

Keep the Bartender
The food is pretty good, but the main reason my friends and I keep going back is because of Debbie, the bartender. She knows everyone's drinks and makes everyone feel at home. Ro and Dave are fun, also.

Whoever decided to let the Top Soil company use the land next to the restaurant is in idiot. The smell is terrible. No one wants to hang out on the patio any more. Also, they need to stop raising the drink and food prices. This place is in Acton, not Beverly Hills.    [21 Dec 2007 12:45:51]

Great Restaurant
I love this place. The food is awesome. The people are really nice. The dining room is like a warm cozy mountain lodge with a fireplace going in the winter. It doesn't get any better than this.    [05 Feb 2008 13:34:03]
