Excellent Japanese Food Kamukura is a favorite of ours....we've been going for many years. We've never had a bad meal there and the service is prompt and helpful. [21 Feb 2004 18:54:25]

Local favorite Rates as one of the better Japanese cuisine restaurants this side of the bay. It rates a "fair to good" Japanese restaurant if compared with Japanese restaurants in San Francisco. The hostess (younger one) dress like they're ready for a date for a night on the town (mini skirt and all). The owner "Faith" (older one) is a very sweet lady and keeps to a truer Japanese tradition of service. [02 Dec 2006 18:22:05]

Great Japanese Food My wife and I live on Alameda and we were told to try Kamakura. We've never regretted it! Japanese-owned makes a big difference; they even know when to give you mustard for katsu-don! The owner personally walks around and makes sure everyone is happy, it's a very friendly place, you feel recognized and appreciated. [06 Jan 2008 20:33:26]
