Could Be Worse Phone ordering is reminiscent of negotiating for lodging in a developing nation. Adding shrimp and anchovies to the combination pizza mysteriously increased predicted delivery time from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. Nonetheless, if you want a lukewarm version of Round Table's product on your doorstep, there is no other option in Albany. [17 May 2003 19:35:24]

Phone It In & Get It Delivered Twice I've 'eaten in' at this Round Table, and both times, there have been troubles. A flickering light bulb, a squeaky, rocky table, a table that's been wiped down but isn't clean, etc. etc. My suggestion: the pizza's okay, but get it delivered - this isn't a pleasant dining out experience... Phone skills need a great deal of work I called to have a pizza made. I found the phone number on line, and was in for a shock when I called Round Table in Albany California. The gentleman on the phone from Round Table was extremely short and did not have the patience in discussing my order. I informed him about a coupon, and I was belittled by his tone of voice. When he was hanging up on me he told his co worker in a rude manner of our phone discussion. I hope some one from Round Table reads these comments! In order for me to write this kind of response I can tell you I am unhappy with the service I got on the phone. In an area such as Albany’s Round Table, a customer has many choices of Pizza to order.

SO SO SO TRUE- worst service EVER I love Round Table, but we always drive all the way to Pinole/Richmond. Go to the Round Table there- it's clean, big, the food is great, the service friendly and there is a play place for the kids. I finally got a pizza delivered from the Albany Round Table after trying for years... most of the time they would just keep increasing the time increment until I told to forget it, or would tell me they were closed an hour early, or that they didn't feel like delivering pizza that night. If I were the owner, I'd fire the ENTIRE crew and hire college kids. They'd be cheap, intelligent and clean- and they would have to be more polite than the jerks they have there now. PHONE ORDER Worst Service EVER Saturday evening January 14, 2006 I have had my share of bad pizza phone ordering experiences, but this one, believe me, will mark THE VERY LAST TIME I order from Round Table, least of all ANY pizza delivery. I'm sticking to getting a frozen pizza in Hell from now on. Thanks to the rude staff for putting me on "hold" and bursting in loud laughter while claiming "We've got one!". Once the moron had finished laughing and screwing off with his co-workers, She came back on line to inform me that the large Wambo Combo and Guinevere's Delight would run us $46.00. Of course she hung up on me before getting my address (and since I was calling on a cell phone (area code 415), I KNOW they did not have the correct 510 number or address for delivery. I called back and was immediately put on hold. 5 minutes later, a live body came on the line and screamed "whatchuwant!??" to more laughter. Well, to spare the rest of the details, I ended up calling a third time to cancel. This is when I was informed by the young lady on the phone that the p"izza's were already done" and that I was a pain in the ass. I cancelled politely and waited for the employee to hang up... which she failed to do (ONCE AGAIN) and I heard every word her co-workers and she had to say. Just out of curiosity, I just checked the prices and the initial $46 quote was about $10 too high. [16 Jan 2006 00:40:19]

Repeated bad service Just happened tonight. I don't usually order at this RT, but it was on the way home and I thought after several years of boycotting this place maybe their service had improved.
We ordered a pizza to go. We were about the only people there. Kept asking if pizza was ready. They said almost. It seemed to take forever!
Finally I asked if there was a problem, and they looked around and our pizza was sitting in the waiting oven the whole time! How incompetent can humans be? This always happens there. Why can they not get their act together? There were like five people working there. Don't you think one of them could have realized we were sitting there waiting? And the pizza was really expensive! Phone Service I have to agree with a lot of the comments about the phone service. The people answering the phone have little to no phone etiquette and give you the impression that your order is a serious burden. It's kind of unsettling; especially when it comes to giving your credit card info because you begin to wonder if your vitals are being given in a safe environment. I am seriously surprised by the level/quality of service that is allowed over the phone. Like the person who responded before, I hope that someone does monitor this site because only then can it change and change is VERY necessary for this location. [27 Jan 2007 22:00:25]
