Shame on the Bistro After frequenting this establishment, our visit was the last and final time. After waiting, and not minding the wait, we were seated. The server tried to get us to order the most expensive items on the list. We are Cubans, so we know how to order. He even tried to get us to order bottled water to increase the bill. We got our food and the kids got half served. We asked them to bring the rice and beans and they didn't until after three times and us getting up out of our seats. By that time the kids’ food was cold. We were served a drink in a broken glass. After dessert, when we still had wine left in the glass, the server asked us how long we were going to be there because they had people to seat that were waiting. Not to mention, the server had severe bad breath. After being appalled and the server collecting his hefty tip, we called the owners, who did absolutely nothing about it. [02 Dec 2003 19:45:50]

Cuban Bistro Makes Me Proud to Be Cuban Large menu with lots of choices. I haven't had a bad one yet.
Ambiance: Love the large Cuban flag. The decor makes you feel right at home.
Service: Excellent!
Oh! How could I forget. Huge wine selection and drink menu. Beautiful bar. Make your own judgement. You'll see I'm right. Oh! I also forgot. They have a wonderful desert menu. My favorite Cheesecake Flan!

Wanted Something Special for Mother's Day. The first thing I sensed walking into the restaurant was that I was going to freeze before the food arrived. It felt as if it were 40 degrees in the restaurant. Our food arrived almost 50 minutes after our arrival. No salads come with any meal. The Salmon in Orange Sauce was delicious. The accompanying rice was not at all authentic Cuban quality. My daughter did enjoy her Pollo en Salsa de Guayaba very much. The appetizers were pitiful, in that you paid for presentation, and not for quantity. Very pricey, and very much a let-down, especially since we ordered three different appetizers, but none of them were traditionally Cuban. The Yucca Frita came as a version of Yucca Fries - about five or six thin strips of it. The traditional Tostones were the size of a quarter, almost. The only pleasing appetizers were the vegetable empanadas, but we only received two. [15 May 2006 13:37:25]

We love the Cuban Bistro. We go almost every weekend. Their specials are awesome and the music is fantastic. Cuban Bistro has been the only Cuban restaurant that reminds me of my abuelita's cooking and warms my heart. I am not surprised that most of the ill-willed and horrible comments come from other Cubans. It is too bad that we can't be a community that supports each other instead of tearing each other apart. Cuban Bistro is a great place. Check it out for yourself. You wont be disappointed. [13 Jan 2007 02:24:12]
