Outstanding Burgers - One of the Best I've Had
My children and I were on a road trip in July, 2007 that took us through Alturas, California on our way to Lassen Volcanic National Park. We were looking for something reasonably fast and spotted The Wagon Wheel at the west end of town.

Being on a tight budget and in a bit of a hurry, my daughter and I opted for burgers. It turned out to be an excellent choice. We both found them to be thoroughly delicious, as were the fresh-cut fries that were included.

Our waitress was competent, polite and friendly, even though we squeaked in just before their closing time. (She was really pretty too, which is never a bad thing for someone in that job.)

When I opt for something bad for me like red meat topped with cheese on a white bun served with deep-fried potatoes, I want it to taste really good so that I can feel like it was worth it. My burger at The Wagon Wheel passed with flying colors. If I'm in that corner of California again, I'll go there for another one.    [18 Jul 2007 01:33:02]
