Description

Many vegetarian & vegan choices & options. Large compared to other Arcata restaurants. Very pleasant atmosphere - lots of windows, does not get too loud usually. Price is reasonable. Specials will easily fill you up and are under $5. Other things can be found on the menu for under $5 or $10.

Delicious & pleasant
Crosswinds has a lovely and unique menu. It is full of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as things for meat-lovers. I've never been for lunch, but the breakfasts are great! The breakfast special filled me up (I couldn't even finish it!) & was under $5, and the rest of the menu is very reasonable, most things around $5-8. The staff is very friendly and prompt. It can get really busy Saturday and Sunday mornings. Sunday (Saturday now, too?) they serve complimentary champagne & little muffins. The atmosphere is very nice - lots of big windows, pleasant, calming decorations & it doesn't get too loud. The food is healthy & wholesome - it'll fill you up & keep you happy for a good few hours.    [22 Aug 2004 21:53:50]
