Yum!
I've just recently moved to Arcata and I'm attending HSU, so I've been trying out the various restaurants in town and this is by far my favorite. The service is very friendly, and the food is far beyond that, certainly the best Chinese cuisine I've had.    [07 Sep 2003 14:19:33]

Good Chinese at a good price
I come from San Fran, so I am a lot pickier about my Chinese food than most. Hunan's is the only Chinese place in Arcata I can stand. Don't eat at the one on the plaza, it is greasy junk, eat at the Northtown one.

The service is good, the food good (try the specials, they are excellent, especially the fish), and the ambience is very nice, I love the fishtanks. They do takeout as well as sit-down and are always finished with the food very quickly, say in ten minutes.    [23 Aug 2005 21:30:38]

Excellent!
Only top notch dishes served here. My favorite is the tofu with veggies. Try one of the House Specialties, like Imperial Chicken, mmmm. Great service and a very short wait until the food arrives. For me it is well worth the drive from Eureka to Arcata. There are many closer, but none better!    [02 Jan 2006 22:00:27]
