Description

Authentic "old towne" local hangout built in 1870. The original City Hall with hardwood floors, picture windows, exposed wood beams, and fireplaces in both restaurant and bar. Extensive fish and meat menu with eclectic starters menu. Smoking is permitted outside under heat lamps. Clam chowder only on Fridays; prime rib only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; daily specials. 15% gratuity added on parties of six or more.

Full Rack of Ribs were overcooked/burnt and had very little meat on the bone. House salad & French onion soup were desireable. Sitting outside was a plus!    [10 Aug 2003 02:52:53]

Not Kid Friendly
Small child in our party slipped on a spill on the floor and was crying. Our party was essentially asked to leave because she was crying. No apologies. When we called to complain, we were told, in effect, children are not welcome there. Although they have high chairs and booster seats, there is no child's menu, evidently to discourage family dining.    [28 Mar 2004 13:53:37]

Outstanding
Korean Skirt Stake was wonderful as were the vegies and Potatoes. Great setting and outside seating. Wine selection is very good.    [05 Apr 2004 11:50:05]

3 Strikes.
We have been to BL'rs at least 4 times, and every time has been iffy at best. Great location, great beers, great appatizers. Menu lousy, service lousy.
