I Love . . . I love their hand-tossed pizza and exotic toppings. It a beautiful place, and their wine selection is great, as well as their ambiance. [09 Jul 2007 19:08:42]

Mama Mia!!! This wonderful hidden gem of a café gave us that rare sort of pleasant dining experience that one continues to rave about well after leaving the restaurant. For us, the food was reminiscent of the delicious dishes my wife and I remember sampling in Boston’s Italian North End during our graduate school days.
We started by sampling the fresh artisan bread, which was served warm and accompanied by extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. It was a hint of the goodness that was to come our way. Our three main dishes, pizza Bianca, linguine and shrimp, and meatballs and spaghetti, were simply flawless. It was as though the kitchen was full of Italian grandmothers bringing their best recipes to bear. We almost never order dessert, but after the dinner we were eager to find out if they could close as well as they started. The cannoli tasted as authentic as any we had ever tasted at Mike’s Pastry in Boston’s Italian North End. (Sorry, Mike, but it's true.) Wow!
The ambience is warm and inviting. My wife was able to enjoy a fine glass of wine and I was able to find a good imported beer on tap. The greatest feat, however, was the low prices. We’ve eaten at places similar to this in nearby Pasadena, but at a much higher cost and with the added challenge of fighting the crowds. The staff was friendly to our two young children. Azusa is changing, and this hidden gem of an Italian café is part of the reason.
Easily accessible from the 210 Freeway. [02 Aug 2007 01:33:41]

It's About Time Yes, it's about time the city of Azusa received such a wonderful gift as the opening of this restaurant. We have been going there from its opening and have never had a meal that was less than excellent. The service is fantastic (after a bit of tweaking from its original staff). As mentioned in other reviews, the food is excellent, as is the wine/beer list. I would recommend Il Forno to anyone. Be sure to say hello to Sammy the owner. [16 Oct 2007 20:26:35]
