One of the best fast food restaurants ever. It is also located in El Monte at 11725 E. Garvey Ave. [20 Jun 2004 00:19:22]

Excellant Food It was my first time trying Don Chente and I was very surprised by my outcome. The employees are very friendly, the menu has so many things to choose from, and they have a huge selection of desserts. The food is made fresh when you order. I felt as though I was eating a home cooked meal. I will definitely go back! [02 Jul 2004 18:27:07]

Best tacos ever One of the best Mexican fast food restaurants around. The service is great, the food is even better. The restaurants are always clean. The one in El Monte is the best. King Taco has nothing on Tacos don Chente. [02 Feb 2005 19:13:58]

Great Food and Service Best tacos I ever had north of the border! Service was super; not only are they quick with a friendly smile, but almost read your mind by know what you want. I was suprised by how clean the one in Bell is, since most places in Bell are not well kept. [09 May 2006 00:45:59]

Mediocre Today I decided to get lunch from Don Chente in Long Beach, being that I have already dined with their competitors King Taco and El Giro Giallo. I ordered an asada taco, asada burrito and pollo burrito. I found the asada to be overwhelmed by the sauce or seasoning on it. The taco was nearly empty. I thought the meat would appear if I blinked my eyes, but never did it happen.
The burritos were not happening, either. The rice was mushy, and with so much mixed inside the tortillas, I didn't know if there was any meat in them.
I will say that the food that I bought and tasted was simply mediocre. I will not rush to go back, as I find King Taco to be the best at this point, but I will never rule out Don Chente when out and hungry. [15 Oct 2007 16:05:51]
