Barney's is known for having the best variety of burgers in the Bay Area and for its replica of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling (although the Solano Avenue location doesn't have that signature decor). - CitySearch - suggest change

Be patient-it's worth the wait
Been there a dozen times. More than just gourmet burgers, it's all good! Can be quite busy-once you're finally seated, you should expect to wait for menus, for waters, for orders to be taken, and wait even longer for your meal to arrive. You'll have to flag down server for your bill, too. But all in all, B's is exceptional in carrying out its mission. Worthy of all those awards. Good value.    [17 Nov 2003 15:52:04]

awful... go elsewhere!
I ate at Barney's on Solano Ave. in Berkeley. The service was terrible and the food was horrid. How they put gourmet in their title, I will never know.    [18 Aug 2005 21:37:34]
