The BEST dining experience
My husband and I had dinner at Casual Elegance last month. I feel that the whole dining experience was extraordinary.

My husband and I enjoy gourmet meals and we both feel that this was THE BEST gourmet dinner we have ever experienced.

The best part (other than the food) was to see the chef, in which I think was the owner come out of the kitchen and mingle with the guests. I dont know her name but she seemed very friendly and obviously enjoyed her work.

I wish her restaurant the best of luck and I hope that you have a chance to experience this wonderful dinnerhouse.

Casual Elegance and Beyond
Casual Elegance is a small restaurant in Blue Jay, near Lake Arrowhead, California. It is all that the name implies...almost.

Dinner was superb. I did't taste anything I didn't like. I love that I can dress up in jeans and a sweater, and go sit and have four different servers attend my table as if I was at the finest dining establishment and eat food I would have gladly paid twice as much for.

The chef (Jan) came out towards the end of our meal and introduced herself. She asked for feedback on the food, service, and her soup for the night. She was so pleasant. I KNOW I'm going back. The other diners around me seemed most impressed by this as well when she went to their tables and they stated that they, "would be back again," and that, "service was excellent," to be surpassed only by "the wonderful food."    [10 Jan 2007 01:44:16]

Elegantly Casual In A Surprising Location.
What a treasure! We came up the mountain on a lark for a weekend getaway. Staying at the Bracken Fern charming in itself. dinner was recommended at Casual Elegance. We did not know what to expect and were very plesantly suprised at the comfortable yet elegant resturant. Then the best part the food! WONDERFUL and served by such a gracious wait staff. Casual Elegance
What a great restaurant!!! It has been under new ownership as of 2007, and, although hard to believe, has improved drastically. All of the meals come with soup and salad and are reasonably priced. The wait staff is incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and wine list, and is stupendously personable. The whole experience was magnificent. The filet was one of the best I have ever had.
