Tides wharf restaurant a big bust - horrible service
I am not usually one to complain. However, I just had by far the worst experience I've ever had in terms of service! I go to Bodega Bay several times a year and have been to the Tides several times. A group of friends and I went to the bar to have a cocktail and some clam chowder. We were ignored for 45 minutes! I asked the waitress why we were being ignored as we watched people come and go getting served and she said the bartender was very busy and that was his section. We proceded to wait another 10 minutes and finally left. I asked for the restaurant manager and he said they were busy and short handed, then proceeded to tell me that the people waiting for lunch were "more important than me" since I probably would come again! All the while with a smirk on his face. Mind you I never said I wasn't going to go there again, I just wanted to be heard and assured that they would take care of the situation. I was never so shocked in my life! For a restaurant that charges top dollar, they should understand the basics of customer service. I suppose that they don't have to worry about that since they have so many customers, they don't have to have good service. All I know is that at this point I'd rather eat McDonalds than spend one more penny at the Tides.    [28 Nov 2006 23:17:29]
