A little on the expensive side, but good.
I had the chance to try this restaurant out last night, and the ambience is very pleasant, the staff very courteous. The only real rub is the price - but once I tasted the food, I knew where the extra money went.    [24 Sep 2003 04:14:59]

Try this cafe

Great Place for Italian in East County
We visited Grazie on a Friday night. We had reservations for a party of 8. The food was delicious. My seafood stuffed raviolis were excellent. The service was a little disappointing. One entrée, a Caesar salad w/ grilled shrimp, arrived after everyone had finished their entrees. The service staff was gracious enough to offer a dessert of choice on the house for this mishap. My second glass of wine came at the end of my meal, only after I reminded the server. Bread was also hard to come by. Reminders were in order. Water glasses weren't kept filled. Used to be great...but now I wouldn't recommend
When I first moved to Brentwood 3 years ago my family and I loved Grazie. The past year everytime I have gone has been awful. The portions have gotten are smaller, the servers I have gotten are awful, and there have been mistakes made over and over! The last time I went was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. The food seemed to take quite a while but finally my children's food came. My food and my husband's did not come until my children were finished with dessert! We waited over 45 min. for our meals and when they came they had not put any scallops in my husband seafood dish (which was suppose to be scallops). There were no apologies on the food being late, no discount offered, nothing! I will never go back to Grazie!    [02 Jul 2004 20:32:49]

Overpriced, overrated, small portions... and...and...
This place is just so hit and miss, but one thing is commonplace... overpriced, small portions, and salad and soup are always extra, and not worth the extra expense... a tasty cup is like 6 bucks. Hey, the bread is complimentary, and good.

Wine is extensive, but the 'pours' are measured.... and now a full bar. Place has been recently remodeled very nicely... staff is friendly... they had some bad help in the past, but now it's all good.

Owner is a total gentleman
The food was superb. The best part was that my date was treated by Darius as though she was royalty. I tipped him off that I was bringing a hottie, and he pulled out all the stops. Loved the chocolate martini, the creme brule, the mixing at our table and on the bar. The man is too COOL. Guys, definitely tell Darius you are bringing a date.
