Disappointing
Anton and Michel advertises itself as an elegant dining experience and sets prices accordingly. However, the decor seems cheap and the atmosphere was closer to a motel breakfast room. The food was fine, but no better. My scallops still had the tough white muscles attached and a little bit of sandy grit. The bread was cold and stale; the hard butter pats over-spiked with lemon, giving them a sour taste. The service was fine, but no different than at a chain restaurant. Overall, Anton and Michel is a two star experience at a four star price.    [29 Mar 2005 16:09:04]
