Wow! We have a winner! We tried the "new" place in town today. What a fantastic place to dine! The area around Chico has been in desperate need of a place like this. Finally, a honest to goodness Steak House! The ribs were superb, and the sirloin steak was out of this world. The hot bread is the best I have ever tasted. You'll be hooked on Logan's RoadHouse after your first visit.
The service was some of the best I have ever encountered. All of the employees there were doing a fantastic job of ensuring that the customers were taken care of. I was impressed that even the managers were out visiting with the customers, and helping serve as well as helping to clean tables. You can be sure that your glass of soda won't remain empty for long.
Logan's is the type of place for folks that want a great "meat and potatoes" meal for a very reasonable price. The smell of mesquite fired grille, free jukebox filled with good country music and endless supply of peanuts makes for a wonderful atmosphere. I noticed the kids at the table next to me were getting quite a kick out of being allowed to throw the peanut shells on the floor.
In my opinion, Logan's beats any of the other local restaurants hands down. The food is better and costs less. The seating area is open and bright so you can see what you are eating. Logan's would be a great place to go with friends, or for a party. If you are a "good old country boy" you might even consider it a place for a romantic evening. Steak and ribs cooked over mesquite, an adult beverage or two and country music on the juke box.....what could be more romantic than that?
I'm not connected with Logan's RoadHouse in any way. I'm just a very satisfied customer that plans on returning to Logan's RoadHouse frequently. [16 Feb 2002 23:16:59]

Bad Service and Incompetent Management Went there for our anniversary dinner. Never saw our waitress. Our ice teas were never refilled. The waitress lied to us when we asked why we didn't get the rolls that everybody gets (only salads and steaks get those is the lie I was told). I wrote the restaurant's management in Redding. They sent me a $20 gift certificate for their Redding restaurant. I live in and went to the restaurant in Chico. Logan's Roadhouse, what a joke!! [25 Jun 2002 00:46:49]

Who Wrote that Review? Finally an honest to goodness steak house in Chico? Oh come on. What about 5th Street Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse, or the 30 years of Pat & Larry's. Where have you been. I don't hardly think a "wanna-be" highway rest stop steak house off old Highway 99 cuts it. Logan's does not have the best service and food, for a great cut of steak, the best atmosphere and excellent service, try another restaurant. Good service requires the staff to be personable, interested in their customers, and to check on them periodically. [07 Aug 2002 23:39:42]

Delicious ribs and rolls but that's it! Just went to Logan's in Chico for the first time. Service was great, atmosphere OK, but the steaks were about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick - hardly worth the price. Potato skins were delicious also. For a good steak, go to Outback! [03 Nov 2002 01:05:31]

Logan's Roadhouse sucks! First of all I've lived in Chico all my life. I've dined almost everywhere here and Logan's Roadhouse is nothing special. I'm talking about the one in Chico to be exact.
The food is only adequate. No superb tastes to me, and Im not a picky eater. Salads and rolls were the best.
Service? You wanna talk service? It sucks overall! I think the waitresses serve greatly, but most of the bad service I have had has been from the male waiters. Namely one named Steve or Scott or something. I'll call him Mr. S.
Anyhow, I went with two friends and my boyfriend and we spent about $70 for our meal. Mr. S only shows up to get our drinks, takes forever getting them, didn't clear our dishes enough and another waitress brought us our food. May I note that there were hardly any people in this restaurant at this time! I see Mr. S over at another table flirting with a few girls too.
When the bill FINALLY came (and Mr. S was no longer around to get our change) I wanted my change back so that I could get along with my life and I see that I would have gotten back $10. There was no way in heck this guy was getting a $10 tip for what he put us through. I gave him $5. I don't tip for the sake of tipping and good service. The restaurant HIRES them and pays them hourly to give good service.
Just so everyone knows, the manager of this Logan's Roadhouse will be hearing from me because there is no way I'm going to patronize a place where the waiters pressure me for tips when giving me bad service. By the looks of it, they are losing customers.
So that's what I think of Logan's Roadhouse in Chico, Ca. [27 Feb 2003 12:43:14]

Excellent restuarant My husband and I have a vacation home in Oroville. We live in Eureka, CA. We don't have the big chains like Chico. Yes the Olive Garden is great and so are the others, but my husband and I just loved Logans. I had the coconut shrimp which was so great I recreated it at home. Our ice teas were awesome. Waiter was awesome and It was hard for me to put the peanut shells on the floor. I actually asked the waiter for a vacuum. We had a great time, and can't wait to go back. [10 Sep 2003 14:02:44]

Bad Service and Management Logan's at first seems to be a nice "chain" type restaurant. The food is adequate, but the service is horrific and the management even worse. Don't even attempt to complain about something, the management will not listen. I complained because they made a mistake and sat my wife and I in an area that they had reserved for a larger group. Halfway through our meal we were told not asked, that we had to move. When I complained to the manager, I might as well have been talking to a wall. My daughter had a extremely bad waitress there and when she complained (the waitress had not checked on her table and was talking to her friends at another table) she was treated with the same lack of concern.
Avoid this restaurant! [14 Mar 2007 14:44:06]
