What a difference a year makes! After church a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I decided to make the drive to Claremont to eat at Harvard Square. We had eaten there with friends a couple of times before, a year or so earlier, and had a pleasant experience. However, that was not the case this time. We each ordered a sandwich. I had the Salmon Burger, which smelled very "fishy" and tasted "somewhat off". I wanted to send it back, but by the time a server came by we were ready to leave. They did not take the sandwich off of our tab and were indifferent to the suggestion that the fish may not be good. My husband had a burger, which he shared with me. It was OK, but a refill would have helped to wash it down and quite frankly there is no need to drive to Claremont to get a mediocre burger with poor service. We will not go back. Fantastic I must admit, I do not share the previous person's opinion. Harvard Square Café is fantastic. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was prepared to excellence, and my wife had the Filet. Both items were perfect. The atmosphere of the patio was beautiful on a cool summer night. I would definitely tell all my friends about this wonderful restaurant.

I believe Harvard Square Café is an enjoyable place to eat and socialize. The patio is beautiful day/night. I've had pasta salad with chicken, one of the best items on the menu. And the H2 Coupe dessert is dazzling, almost heaven to taste. [18 Apr 2006 01:02:54]
