Giving It Another Chance Basically my first trip was not a great one. I had a hair in my salad ... gross! No one apologized or anything, the waitress just brought me another one. The rest of my food was good, but I picked through everything before eating it ... not fun. I had the chicken teriyaki lunch special and it was pretty good. The crunchy vegetable roll was very good. Cucumber, avocado, and a piece of tempura fried sweet potato. MMMmmm ... [22 May 2006 14:27:23]

Best in Claremont There are a few Japanese restaurants in town, but this is by far the best one, both in terms of ambiance and the quality of food. Their fish is fresh, and the blue fin tuna was not the refrigerated type that I saw in the other restaurants. Now that the weather is getting a bit chilly, I'm especially glad that they've added shabu shabu, too -- it's the only place in town that has it! [23 Sep 2007 16:54:14]

Disgusting The first clue was that it was Saturday night and there was hardly anyone at this restaurant. The place was very dirty; the bathrooms were filthy. The food was the worst we ever had. We told the waitress and waiter about it and they said, "Oh, we will tell the chef, he is new." No apologies or anything, so therefore, no tip. Would never go back. [12 Feb 2009 16:12:57]
