Description
Luna's Pizzeria is about medium size. It has a pleasant and friendly attitude. It has Christian sayings up on the walls, although this does not discourage non-Christians from dining there. The food is pretty inexpensive for what you get. They have pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, as well as a variety of other things.

I hadn't eaten here in many years and thought it was time to refresh my memory.
Luna's has been in Clovis for a long time and is very popular on weekend nights. There was a 20-30 minute wait (no reservations) but it was all for large groups, so the two of us got seated immediately.
I was tempted to order pasta. As I vaguely recall, they don't serve anything fancy, but decent and huge portions are nice too. However, my date was in the mood for pizza. We ordered the Luna's Special which has everything, and I do mean everything (even anchovies) on it. He was thrilled. The toppings were piled high. I was not as thrilled, because I'd rather have an average amount of toppings and lots of cheese. I felt like they were skimping on the cheese.
Our service was fine. The waitress was pleasant but not chatty, and prompt.
I think if I go back soon (my date says he thinks we really must!) I might try some pasta this time, or if we go with pizza, I'll definitely order it with extra cheese. [14 Nov 2000 04:39:57]

Never Again!! The wait was too long at our favorite Italian place so we thought we would try this place. It was terribly crowded and noisy and the atmosphere reminded me of a school cafeteria.
The food was less than mediocre. I had the chicken parmigiana, which was tough and way too much. The sides of pasta were very tasteless and ordinary. We should have saved ourselves a trip and made a meal at home for the two of us. We will not return to this place in the future. [26 Jan 2004 17:31:37]

YUMMY!!!! I have been to Luna's several times over the last year and a half and I think that it is awesome. The service is always wonderful, the servers are pleasant and pronpt, and they are always there at your elbow when you need something. The food is great. I love their pizza! My fiance and I have both gotten pasta, as well as pizza, and it has always been good (and they give you a lot of food, which is important for my fiance!) I don't know who K. Carter is, but you must be used to more so-called "gourmet" food, and the next time you are too impatient to wait, just stay home with your kitchen that you don't cook in because you don't know good down home cooking when you have it. The most popular Italian restaurant in town Luna's isn't a packed house because they give the food away. This is fantastic Italian food. The sort that inexplicably does not result in heartburn. It's Italian food done by Italians; a family owned and operated business.
There is a dessert menu but nobody orders from it. Portions are large here and to-go packs are the rule. Buy a meal and you'll also get lunch the next day. They have pizza here but it's the traditional Italian kind. Not like American pizza. My girlfriend and I have eaten there many times and I've sampled most of the menu. It is literally all fantastic but the pizza -- while very good -- is not what you'd expect if you're used to Round Table or Me N Eds. [18 Mar 2005 16:51:29]

Fantastic! We moved out of the Fresno/Clovis area several years ago. This month we had to go back for a funeral. We had extra time on our hands and decided to go back to our "old faithful" for pizza. Luna's to this day does not disappoint us in serving an excellent pizza. [18 Apr 2005 08:08:17]

Family Tradition My family has been eating at Luna's since before I was born. As a kid, it was a special treat to eat there with my parents and grandparents. Now, it is the same for my two... they love eating there. You always go hungry and you start off with some of their amazing homemade bread... spread some butter on it. However, don't eat too much because you are saving room for the food! I always get a salad with their awesome Italian dressing... add Parmesan cheese (that is conveniently available in a container on the table) and dip my bread in the leftover dressing. Then, no matter what you order, the food is HOT HOT HOT and delicious. This is a Clovis institution and I wonder where K.Carter is from and what impossible standards this person must have. As for the questions, "How does it stay open?" It always will! and you would know this if you have ever eaten there. Almost every night it is busy... with a 15 to 30 minute wait. Forever Faithful My husband and I, as well as our families, are long time Clovis residents. When you want Italian, there is no other Italian restaurant besides Luna's.
They are always there for you. Our family kinda has this tradition. When something exciting happens, we go to Luna's. When something bad happens, we go to Luna's, when something sad happens, you guessed it, we go to Luna's.
I really feel bad that K. Carver did not have a pleasant experience.
If you want greeeeeeeat Italian food, then do what we do. GO TO LUNA'S. [18 Dec 2006 20:34:27]

The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of . . . Nine years after leaving California, Luna's is STILL the one restaurant my family and I HAVE to visit when we return. Their antipasto salad with homemade dressing is simply the best. Add homemade bread, with perfect texture, a crisp crust with a slightly sweet interior . . . dip into the salad dressing . . . heaven. Ask for extra sauce when you order lasagne or the calzone -- not because they don't give you enough, they do -- but because it's just so good you'll want more! If you're looking for good food with a family friendly atmosphere, Luna's is it. It's not fancy, it's not pretentious, it's just GOOD, homemade Italian food like your mom would make if only she were Italian! Thanks, Carmella and family, for wonderful food and great memories. We'll be back in April on R&R, and Luna's is our first stop!! [08 Oct 2007 03:55:54]

One of the Best! Luna's is a winning experience for great Southern Italian cooking. We live in Visalia, but whenever we are in the area, we always make it a point to stop in for dinner. The food is wonderful, lots of it, service is friendly and efficient and the prices are very moderate. [21 Dec 2007 11:24:04]

Best Italian Place EVER! Im a Clovis native, and Luna's is a staple! I'm just sad it's not open on Sundays! I must admit I have had some bad service, but I try to keep in mind that they are busy or that the server is having a bad day! Everything on the menu that I have tried has been great. HUGE portions, enough for two meals, and very reasonable prices. I order the half-rigatoni, half-eggplant al forno almost every time I go. It has something for everyone! [17 Aug 2008 20:51:03]
