Great Food and Service! Trelio has new owners and the food and wine is fantastic! Very friendly service with a visit from the executive chef/owner. The filet mignon is excellent! You will find this to be a nice place for special occasions, as well as weekly visits. Lunch is very reasonable, e.g. hamburger $7.95 with salad or soup. Much better than the local RR. You will enjoy yourself in a relaxed atmosphere. We are there every week. Give this establishment a try! [06 Jan 2006 15:59:51]

Under New Management The previous owners of Trelio sold it to one of their chefs last year, so the horrible management is no more! The food is excellent in every respect, the service on par with the food, and the chef/owner often comes out from the kitchen to greet the diners. He's friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has about eight appetizers, approximately ten entrees, and several desserts. The wine list seems to be very good. The decor is funky urban bistro, but still comfortable. My wife and I frequent Trelio and while it is not an Erna's Elderberry House, it is a great place to have a relaxing evening. The menu is limited, but the selections are good and for anyone living in Clovis it's a nice change from the typical resturaunts in town. The food is good and reasonably priced for what you get. The wine list is very good for the size of the restaurant and you can't ask for a better place to open a bottle of wine and enjoy the evening. I have dined at Le Cirque (Las Vegas), Erna's, Commander's Palace (New Orleans), Scotties Cellar in Houston (voted #3 in the nation by Esquire) and many other fine restaurants. The beauty of Trelio is just this: Good food, extremely friendly staff, and something different for the area. You never feel rushed and taking your time to enjoy the evening is what it is all about. The chef even invites my wife and me to have a glass of wine on the back patio after we finish our meal. In my opinion dining is about an experience which you cannot put a price on. I don't know what any of these people are talking about! Everyone of these people must be out of their gourds!! Easily one of the most hidden secrets in the Central Valley! The only dish on the menu I saw was the Filet Mignon, and I certainly don't want rice pilaf with a Prime Harris Ranch Filet.
I had trout with scallion pioguis! Yeah, I can find that at any restaurant in Fresno? Or the Chop salad on the menu with black truffle dressing? How 'bout the coffee roasted duck with duck confit, mushroom and cherry ravioli.
The service is great, portions are easily double the size of other restaurants at this caliber, and the ambiance is similar to a secret nieghborhood restaurant in Savannah Georgia or Baton Rouge Louisiana - real, not gimmicky in any way.
I had to drive 40 minutes to get to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend... I thought he was crazy, now I know Fresno is crazy for not knowing about this place. [05 Aug 2007 20:58:54]

The Best I surely don't know where those bad reviewers went, but it was not Trelio's in Clovis now! This is one of the best restaurants I've patronized in terms of food and service! The menu is always surprising, the food is always excellent and the wait staff is dedicated to SERVING you! The restaurant is small, but that makes it private and romantic, plus the short walk across the hall to the very quaint restroom means you'll never get a table by the restrooms (or kitchen, for that matter)! Please don't judge this restaurant by the opinion of two people who were having a bad day! Oh, yes, and the wine list is superb! [18 Oct 2007 13:53:30]

Fantastic Food I have eaten at Trelio on two occasions over the past year. I am vegetarian and on both occasions, the chef prepared a special dish that was exquisite. I think Trelio is by far the best restaurant in the Fresno area. [29 Dec 2007 23:39:16]
