Enjoyable if not inspired Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, near water front location.
Food - I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good if not inspired. The desserts - I had fried ice cream - was excellent.
I had Poached Salmon. [02 Feb 2004 10:17:55]

Brig is Dana Points Residents Secret The Brig has the ambiance of the old style coffee shops with the added delight of great food. The breakfast and lunch menu and cooking is superb. The biscuits and gravy for breakfast is delicious and the fish and chips are the best in town. Friendly good service and real value for the dollar. Most people dont know what a find this restaurant is, so dont tell. [04 Oct 2005 21:14:59]

Good Lunch - Bad Coleslaw My wife and I stopped for lunch on Nov. 3rd 2006. Good menu. Lots to choose from. I had the Patty Melt with Fries. The meat was incredible. Ground Sirloin. Only problem was they charged me 3 bucks for an extra little bowl of coleslaw that had no flavor. Poorest coleslaw I've ever tasted. Other than that, Nice place. Prices were average to high. Dana Point Gem When we think coffee shop, we think the Brig. Forget all the chains. Everything is made right on the premises. And lots of choices. The prime rib is the sleeper; you can go to a lot of places and pay a lot more and not get better. In fact, we are heading to the Brig right now! [17 Nov 2006 21:10:00]

Clam Chowder The Clam Chowder at the Brig is excellant if they have the original recipe which is very white in color and oh, so tasty. Too often they have a substitute that is extremely salty and brown in color. YUK! Whoever is the purchasing agent has to get it staight one of these days. No one likes the BROWN, SALTY CHOWDER. All other dishes are great! We have been customers since the Brig opened many years ago. The loose benches present a problem for the diabled. [18 Jan 2007 18:06:29]
