Don't do it
When they brought two entrees that were exactly the same when we had ordered two different things (Filet Mignon, New York Filet Mignon), I knew we were in for trouble. The waiter took both dishes back and returned with one of the original plates and a new one with the same cut of meat on it. When I questioned why my date's dinner didn't have spinach as stated in the menu and mine did, he simply said "Oh, it's under the steak, spinach puree". The meat I ordered was terribly bland. The regular Filet would have been the better choice..... To be honest, it is not worth the price. There are better places out there for less money.    [19 Feb 2003 13:25:09]

My experience at the Blackhawk Grille was excellent. From the minute I walked in the restaurant I was greeted with a warm smile, outstanding service and great food. I dine at the grille quite often and I am very happy with the service and food. I give it a 5/5.    [22 Jun 2003 03:13:11]

Great place
When we first arrived the hostess was nothing but nice. She took us to a table and we asked if we could move else where she was more than patient and helpful. Once sat we were immediately greeted by our server who answered all our questions about their menu and wine. When I requested to see the chef to offer my compliments he came over and greeted us. Staying for a few minutes and then went off to meet and greet other tables. The food is a bit high priced but come on it's not fast food. The food not only looked excellent but tasted excellent. Prepared to perfection. I go back often and have suggested the place to my family and friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a beautiful view of the plaza and pond.    [01 Jun 2004 04:10:53]

Pricey by worth it
Great restaurant with a nice upscale but not snooty ambiance.

Great food and wine list.....can be pricey.
