Great People, Great Food Yoshi and Michiko (the owners) have been in business for about three years. (I've seen their business blossom. In the old days, I used to dine all by myself. Now a days, there are lines during lunch and dinner. Either be early or make reservations.)
There are a lot of return customers and familiar faces. And, they make an effort to meet and know their customers.
I go here for the variety: raw, fried, barbequed, baked, pickled, etc. Or, if I'm dining with friends, I know that I can find something on the menu for every palate.
They often post a changing lunch or dinner special. They have a great kiddie plate. (The price is great and there are so many things that any kid will find something to their liking.) [28 Apr 2004 01:41:07]

We never go anywhere else... ...for quality service and sushi. We've been to different sushi places all over Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, Walnut & City of Industry. NOWHERE have we found what Kyala has to offer.
Located in a strip mall in the Ralph's shopping center on Diamond Bar Blvd., this place may be small, but at this place, QUALITY is the key!
Their service, we've found, is the BEST all-around. Their attentive, polite, efficient, pleasant- and they don't treat you second rate if you don't sit at their sushi bar, like most places (i.e, Nara Sushi in Chino Hills- THE WORST!)
Not to mention, their sushi is fresh, prepared quickly, and they usually bring everything to you all at once- not one at a time like most sushi places.
Their shrimp tempura roll drizzled with sweet sauce is outstanding, and also try the longostino appetizer or the seafood dynamite (which was recommended to us by their staff)- scrumptious!
They also accept reservations, which most places do not. Reservations are highly recommended during peak dinner hours. We never visit without one! [13 May 2004 23:48:41]

Best sushi in town Kyala is great. Japanese family owned authentic japaenese restaurant. Fresh fish because of high volume of customers. The place is small and cozy but always filled with customers. [02 Feb 2005 20:28:50]
