Great Lunch Spot This restaurant is very cozy and perfect for lunch. There food is very fresh and the atmosphere is friendly. I only wish they were open later in the day. [06 Jun 2003 19:28:32]

Excellent Breakfast My friends and I come here for breakfast almost every weekend. The food is great, and the people who work there are really fun and hardworking. And they serve Peet's! [07 Nov 2003 14:22:29]

Quick and Friendly The best thing at the Doyle Street Cafe is the service: quick and friendly, especially once you get to know the owners. The food is great, with plenty of vegetarian options (although I usually get the Reuben for lunch), and great breakfast selections. [15 Apr 2004 12:07:10]

The crab sandwich is to die for!
The staff is fast and friendly and the prices are moderate for the lunch menu.
My only complaint is that the other dishes I've had have been way too peppery. Too much pepper is not a good thing. [18 Nov 2004 12:39:24]

This Is the Neighborhood Restaurant I Missed from the East Coast My husband and I moved from Philadelphia to Berkeley and gratefully found Doyle Street Cafe after a year of being in the area. It's been 5 years now and eating either breakfast or lunch at Doyle Street at least once a week is something we look forward to. Great food. Great people. It is fun to be lovingly harassed by the wait staff while they deliver superior service - that means you, MarWan and Pam. Thanks for all the laughs and great service. [15 Jul 2005 00:11:33]

Sour Cream Pancakes These are called Red Hots on the menu. Not to be missed. This is a nice place to bring mom. They have their own parking lot across the street. The place is usually pretty busy, but without much of wait most of the time. They have a back room we have used when we had 16 people for breakfast. Staff are helpful and friendly. Excellent food, really excellent. [19 Mar 2006 11:59:29]

Great Service What a great restaurant! That dynamic duo of brothers is superb. But the best thing about going there is that wonderful waitress Laura Johnson. Boy, what a stunner! Not only is she gorgeous, but she gives the greatest service and dining experience in the whole wide world. I am sure to keep on coming back as long as she is working there. Thanks Laura...you make my day! [19 Aug 2006 14:38:41]

Great food, great service! That Laura Johnson is the sole reason for the success of Doyle Street Cafe. She rocks my world with that beautiful smile of hers...and the food is pretty good too. [17 Mar 2007 20:22:22]
