Poor Service Food is OK, but the service of the people who are so cheap they don't even want to provide you with the measly chutney that you always have to ask for...drives me mad! [03 Aug 2003 21:22:22]

Excellent, Authentic and Very Affordable The food is very tasty and quite authentic. The restaurant is clean but very simple. Do not expect any ambience as such. The service is fast and good. The prices are surprisingly inexpensive! [15 Aug 2003 13:38:21]

Just Really Good Food Although the service isn't great, I find it hard to complain about anything at Chaat Cafe. The prices are low and the food is wonderful. The menu is simple, a few chaats, some wraps and curries and two daily specials, one veg one not. I've never been disappointed. Best of all the food doesn't have the top layer of oil usually food in Indian curries. Really good stuff! [12 Sep 2003 19:30:53]

Too Pricey for My Liking If I am to be critical, I must be critical of the service. The staff wields a kind of indifference that may make customers feel uncomfortable.
I also feel that the prices are a bit much. When my wife and I visit Chaat Café, we can expect to pay $20 for the two of us. While $20 is in no way exorbitant, it is a bit much when the quality of the food is taken into consideration.
I do not have any experience with the meat dishes and can only speak about the vegetarian meals. The wraps are quite good and the chole, while not of the variety that I normally like, is also good.
It’s a decent restaurant and it’s open late. [23 Sep 2003 19:49:37]

Can't Get Enough The food is great though the price could be a little lower. But still, it's worth it. True, the service isn't great, but it's not bad. The service is slow because everything is prepared as you order it. I can't get enough of chaat cafe and if it wasn't for a strong will, I'd be there everyday. Anyone I've taken there, wants to come again. [21 Oct 2003 19:47:22]

Good Food, OK Prices, Surly Service Just went to the venue. Food was good, served fairly quickly. Meat dishes were well done, spicy for my kids. Sheesh kebab was a bit dry. Everything was not coated in oil, and the naans were not even slightly burned on the back.
Prices were about the same as other nearby places; Service makes you feel they are doing you a favor :-). Stuff like chutney and condiments, either pick up from a tray on the counter or have to ask and the counterperson makes you wait... [16 Nov 2003 23:17:21]

Overcharging Be careful. They tend to overcharge especially if they know they can get away with it. I was charged $19.00 for $8.00 food. It was not busy either so I am sure it was intentional. [07 Dec 2003 00:46:34]

Awesome Great concept for Indian food. the wraps are terrific, curries are also good. The naan is the best around, very soft. The staff, although not exceptionally friendly is fast and efficient. With prices this low it's kind of hard to complain about anything. [13 Feb 2004 19:09:24]

Good, Consistent and Affordable The best chicken wrap this side of Istanbul. Consistent - I've had it dozens of times and it's always been good. Service is fine, they don't fuss over you and don't go here if that's what you want. [17 Sep 2005 19:49:31]
