Simple and tasty
Wonderful!!!

Upon first walking in, I saw them making one of the biggest burritos I've ever seen! The restaurant is set up like a submarine sandwich shop, in that you stand behind a sneeze guard and watch them make your food, letting them know what you do or do not want on it. But it doesn't feel "fast food" at all. The menu is simple, burritos and tacos. But the variety of ingredients is what makes it so great. The soft taco was the best I've ever tasted, the guacamole was perfect (lots of cilantro, not hidden among too many tomatoes.) The ambiance is awesome, too. The decor is clean and sleek, sort of industrial but not cold. There's a paragraph about it on the soda cups, actually, you should read it. Overall, I found Chipotle to be excellent and the prices are great. Massive burrito for $5-$6, filled with fresh ingredients. Yum.    [30 May 2002 13:53:32]

One Chipotle Is Like Any Other
Stark East German industrial decor with your chimichanga. The food is good but I can't stand the atmosphere. It is like a bombed out disco lounge that has been turned into a Mexican fast-food joint. Their corporate site talks about each one being individually designed, but it looks as though they used the same layout for each location. The corrugated steel garbage receptacles are an eyesore. The abscence of acoustic tile lends an air of clattering echoeyness. My biggest complaint is with the decor.    [18 Sep 2002 18:28:25]

Donde esta la casa de BIG ASS BURRITOS?
That is the billboard that I first saw before trying the food. It was just that, BIG, and delicious. The decor was hip and funky. The music was just loud enough not to be annoying. The service was energetic and friendly. I loved it.. I now eat here EVERYDAY at least once.. NO JOKE!    [29 May 2003 23:51:34]

This place is clean and the food is fresh. I was disappointed to find they serve white rice. It is an Americanized mexican semi-fast food place. The quantity is good as is the the price but I prefer Baja Fresh for Americanized Mexican food.    [29 Dec 2004 21:45:53]
