I love it! Edo-Ya has the best food at their teppan yaki tables. Everything just melts in your mouth and is soooo delicious. The prices are very good considering the quality of food, not to mention you get a show with dinner! [04 Sep 2003 20:01:27]

The Food is Great. The teppan yaki is well worth it and the hot and spicy sauce is the best i suggest putting it in with your fried rice. It's a great place because that doesn't stop me from coming back. [20 Feb 2004 15:00:50]

Scrumptious The food is absolutley delicious! And the bartender, Anne, is the best bartender in Fresno! We eat there at least once a week! [05 Mar 2004 16:13:58]

Two Thumbs Up! We take our kids there every year for their birthday and my husband and I were engaged there! What a nice place to make those memories. We have our company Christmas dinner there every year too. I LOVE the food and the chefs! [14 Apr 2004 19:16:17]

Flavor Explosion The freshest food is always served here. My favorite is the filet mignon with the hot and spicy sauce. I'm never dissapointed and it's a flavor explosion! The sushi is excellent, too. [31 Dec 2004 13:17:14]

I no longer live in Fresno, but when I visit I make a point to visit this restaurant. The Teppan-Yaki is to die for. This is the restaurant of choice when we have friend get togethers. [01 Dec 2005 16:35:03]

Been there done that. Sushi to Die for is new and has a following even before it opened. The youth of the chef along with his flair for providing one of a kind art pieces, which can be enjoyed by the all makes the consumer feel like he has made a celebrity purchase. [21 Mar 2006 19:52:11]

Not What It Used To Be I was a long time customer of Edo Ya, even when it used to be Ban Do Ya previously. Unfortunately, it really isn't near the quality of service that it used to be. The food alright, however little things like charging $1.75 for soft drink refills (which cost them pennies, and all other restaurants make a profit yet still give free soft drink refills), charging money to sing happy birthday, ridiculous!! Heck, when it was BanDoYa they used to sing you happy birthday and give you a polaroid photo of the event to boot. Had dinner over there the other night after long being disatisfied with their service as described above, and from the cook dropping a bowl of rice, then scooping up the rice that landed on the grill trim and still serving that to a patron, to the poor general service all around, I wont be back.
If you want quality teppan yaki dinner, with excellent service and at a reasonable price, my recommendation is Tokyo Steakhouse in Clovis. [17 Jan 2007 10:13:45]

Awesome! I have tried just about everything they have on their menu. Everything has always been cooked well and has been very tasteful. The food always arrived very hot from the kitchen, and always tastes fresh. The portions were the perfect size. My boyfriend and I share what we order, and we always ended up with a little to take home.
All of the waiters I have ever had have been courteous, and very helpful. Especially when you don't know what is in the dish. Plates were cleared when we were done, and our green tea was constantly being refilled. The bill arrived shortly after desert. We were definitely not rushed. We sat and ate everything slowly and took our time. They didn't seem to mind at all. The restaurant was very clean and it wasn't noisy.
Compared to other restaurants, this one is great. Yoshino's has a very limited menu and can be slow. Zipangu has amazing food, but their service tends to be slow. [11 Nov 2007 15:25:47]
