Beagle says... This restaurant is very average for the cost. Usually, paying this much for a meal entitles one to a memorable experience all the way around. This is simply, and sadly, not the case.
Giulia's really does a good job with the food. It's just not great. The prices really demand great.
The atmosphere is romantic. This is definitely a place to impress a date. Everyone in Fresno seems to be impressed by a dinner here..."oh, he/she took you to Giulia's?" It's not because of the food.
The eggplant is done well here. So, too, is the spaghetti with meatballs. But if you're just going for a great Italian meal, and not for love, you might want to skip Giulia's and head for something less pricey as you're likely to find the same thing for less. [30 May 2000 23:19:31]
