Beagle says... What in the world brought you into this place? Was it the line outside? The huge and welcoming facade? A warm fireplace beckoning you in from the cold? Whatever it was, it could not have been the food. There is absolutely nothing on this menu which has not been prepared on an assembly line. The sauces are clearly canned (for sale at the counter as well?), the pasta poured out of what must be thousand pound bags (imported from the City of Industry?) and the service scripted. Hey, but the waiters and waitresses write their names upside down...WOW!! This is some of the least imaginative Italian food in the nation, not just Fresno. Unless you are looking for safety in numbers, seek your Fresno Italian food anywhere else (hmm, Parma, Bella Pasta, Ovidios...) []

Nothing I ate here was bad, but nothing was memorable either. I'm glad that I won a gift certificate and didn't have to spend any of my own hard-earned cash.
The ambiance is nice, and the service was pleasant enough. But, it's sort of like the friendliness at Disneyland; you can tell it's not always genuine, but rather a well-rehearsed script the servers are following. [18 Jun 2001 01:25:53]

Wonderful Afternoon This is a lovely place to bring the family. They have an especially good Chianti that is served to every table. [18 Oct 2003 15:11:27]
