T.D.'s Brass Tacks Restaurant Review
$10.95 for prime rib and lobster? $5.95 for prime rib? All served in a very nice restaurant with good service? It just doesn't get much better than that.

Going to a casino like Table Mountain may not appeal to everyone, and definitely may not be the greatest idea around for everyone. But T and D are focusing on the food here and the deal you get, not on the fact that you just may end up paying a little more then you bargained for out in the casino. However in all fairness you could end up getting it a little cheaper too, depending on how things are going for you. Just don't count on it.

This is a great place for specials. The $1.99 tri tip sandwich at lunch. The $1.99 breakfast. They may still have a $.99 breakfast but I'm not sure if that's still going. And they always have lunch and dinner specials that are always excellent.

We've had salmon, tri-tip, sausage sandwiches and breakfast which has always been excellent but what really is great is they have the Oriental menu, and everything we've ordered off of there has been terrific. Pork chops with prawns, crispy whole tilapia and chicken with chile jam have been some of the things we've had. Oh man, it's all been great.

About the only drawbacks are the ride up there (if you don't enjoy rides, that is). I love the ride out in the country so for me this is a plus. And then there is the wait, which can be pretty long at times, so be ready for that.

But these are small prices (if you consider them prices) to pay for what you get. Which is a heck of a lot of great food for not much money at all.

Yum!

My husband and I have been coming to Table Mountain for sometime now. We have always had a great time, until last Friday night (04/26/02).

As far as the service goes, I would think that the staff could come up with a better way of seating guests. You're issued a number and told you have an hour to an hour and forty five minute wait (OK). Upon returning within that time frame you're now told another twenty five minutes (because someone has slipped the hostess twenty dollars), I guess they don't feel they have to wait their turn. Your number is called, but if you're not in or around the restaurant area, you can't hear it.

Now we were finally seated and ordered the Prime rib and lobster as always, but this time it comes and the whole meal is cold, in addition the quality of the meal is not there.

We have always told our friends how great the service and food is but after Friday night I can't say that.
My husband and I feel that after Friday night we will not return or recommend Table Mountain to our friends.    [30 Apr 2002 01:31:56]

GREAT FOOD AND LUCK IS WITH ME A LOT.
I have eaten a lot at Table Mountain Casino. Food is great, some people just can't be pleased no matter what you serve, keep up the good work.    [22 Dec 2002 16:34:41]

Thursday Buffet - seniors two for the price of one.
My husband and I are retired and have eaten at many restaurants and buffets. The buffet on Thursday at Table Mountain is the best we have ever eaten, and only $9.99 for the two of us. We recently had guest from Dallas TX. We took them up there for the Thursday buffet and to gamble a little. They said the buffet was better than any buffet they had been to in Dallas. The lady with us sat down and put five dollars in a slot machine and hit $150, (which is better than I have done). We all had a great time.

We go up there every Thursday. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

I just hope they do not start serving liquor up there, if they do, we will probably stop going.    [16 Jul 2003 14:39:25]

Great food, fun atmosphere!
We first started going here on Valentine's Day for dinner. It was always very romantic. A harp player would play and all the ladies would receive roses when they left. The steak and lobster were always very good.
We have celebrated two of my son's birthday dinners here. You can feed a half a dozen teens for under $100! We always have a lot of fun here and the food is above average for a casino type place.
I love the drive here. In the Spring all the hills are green and the creeks are full. It's a wonderful place!    [28 Jan 2004 17:07:31]

Oh my god
What pitiful slop was served to us at this casino! After waiting an hour and a half to be seated (while we clearly saw money changing hands with the Maitre D') we finally got seated.

We were treated like cattle running through a branding chute, lining up as if it were salvation we were getting, and not just cold food and attitude. Once our server finally arrived, he glanced in all directions as he took our order, apparently more interested in his colleagues than my wife and me.

Oh... The savage treatment of food almost made me feel like a barnyard animal. The "chef" treats each dish like dog food as it is warmed over in big brown sloppy piles and stirred and picked through by the staff and employees. Watch the serving staff stir and re-stir the rancid buffet as more people dig through it to get delightful chunks of meat and pick out anything of edible value, leaving behind gooey grease and unidentifiable strings of vegetable matter. It is like a drive through zoo. It was awful. Yuck.    [28 Dec 2006 21:55:03]

Buffet
I go there often and always look forward to a good buffet meal! Lots of variety, hot foods are hot, cold foods are chilled as they should be and presented nicely with clean surroundings. The waiters and waitresses are always courteous and helpful. The price is most reasonable, esp. for Sr. Citizens.    [20 May 2007 16:38:22]

GRRRRRREAT!!!
What a GREAT buffet!! Saturday night and we chose from 2 kinds of crab (already cracked and SOOOO Easy to get into!!), 4 kinds of shrimp, California rolls, sushi, and a nice taco bar. The dessert was a little disappointing with a VERY limited selection, but who had room anyway!! This was a WONDERFUL place to have crab and shrimp and the fresh fruit was to die for!! I would so recommend this to ANYONE!! Definitely worth the drive!!    [28 Sep 2009 13:43:46]
