Goodbye Made reservations for six, two hours before lunch, for the inside. My simple reservation was not even kept straight. This was an important meeting. My guests were not pleased by getting no bread with the salad, as the menu stated, and no refills on the water; in fact, every time we needed something, we just about had to get it ourselves, or go without.
I've been living here in Goleta for 40 years and have been to the Beachside many times, but this time for the last time. It has been consistent in just one thing . . . service getting worse. [29 Nov 2003 20:36:33]

Wonderful Day We had a party of six; we drove up from Vandenberg, and as usual, everything was perfect. Service was great. The food was excellent. The best place to find fresh seafood. I just love the different flavors. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time. We're already planning another outing to the Beachside Cafe next week, so we can try a few different dishes. Beautiful Views and Very Good Seafood My family has visited the Beachside several times in the past year. While there is not a huge selection, the quality of the food has been consistently good, especially the Dorado. While the service can sometimes be a little spotty -- primarily from UCSB students -- it is usually very pleasant. The restaurant would be worth it for the views alone, but the food is actually quite good. [30 Jul 2007 20:31:38]

Service IS Getting Worse I have been to Beachside several times. We usually have great service. The last time we waited WAY too long to even place our drink order. After that, everything took forever, and the server seemed like he hated being there. VERY unfriendly and made the wait and the whole experience even worse. I'll try Beachside again, but will leave if I have the same server. Food was good. [08 Jan 2009 19:26:51]
