Worst Restaurant in Santa Barbara county!!! This place is not only so extremely expensive that it ought to be called a rip-off, but the worst part is that the food is extremely bad. Most plates go back untouched, and there are hardly any people going in there at all.
The owner is a very unfriendly and arrogant person, that seems to like only your money, without giving any service in exchange.
No one likes her. The kids don't like her, and this is a student town.
We are all waiting for this place to shut down, because it gives a very, very bad reputation for our town.

This guy does not know what he is talking about The food is GREAT, it is not often that you get authentic Malaysian food, which is very tasty and priced great. I served her food at my Christmas party and everyone loved it. I think this guy should stick to Jack in the Box in Isla Vista. Go here, it is one of best Asian food restaurants I have been too, and I have spent a lot of time in Asia. [24 Mar 2004 21:17:07]

Good Malaysian in Goleta While the American menu leaves something to be desired, the specialty and Malaysian dishes are amazing. The owner is a middle-aged Malaysian woman, and though it is rumoured that she treats her employees with impunity and Malaysian justice, to her customers she is extremely kind. She asked my name the first time I met her, and has never forgotten it.
There is a somewhat tacky atmosphere, but it is still well within reason for a small college beach town. One wall is muralized by hand, while the other simply has poster sections taped to it. While the latter is not the Cistine chapel, it is forgivable.
The food seems expensive if you only look at the menu, but the portions are extremely large. I have a very healthy appetite, and I can hardly ever finish all the food I get. Between one and three heaping plates of rice, meat, veggies and sauces are presented.
True, the American half of the menu is slightly sub-par (over-done burgers, slightly greasy sandwiches, homefries that I certainly never had at home) the Malaysian side is truly delicious. Differing amounts of spice are offered, and be careful! Medium spice is approximately at a level with Tabasco sauce. Only try HOT if you can eat raw jalapeno peppers by the handful.
Service is a little slow, but food comes out as it is prepared, German style. It is perfectly acceptable to pick off your friends' plate(s) while you wait. The Malaysian food does take quite a while to make, but all good Malay dishes do. [21 Apr 2004 00:52:49]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Nasi Lemak (curry chicken with coconut milk rice), any Kari Ayam dish (curry beef), and the vegetarian curries and soups.
