This cheerful, family-owned Italian restaurant in downtown Hayward serves a variety of reasonably-priced Italian foods. The regular menu has plenty to choose from, and also offers specials from a changing insert menu with numerous choices. Murals of Italy and a variety of Italian beers and wines complement the food.

Great Lunch Spot

You won't leave hungry!
Buon Appetito is a great place for dinner. The staff is always very friendly and accomodating and the ambience is clean, bright and very comfortable. My favorites are the polenta with mushroom appetizer and the ossobuco - probably the best I've ever tasted. Don't forget the tiramisu! Great restaurant...you'll leave feeling very full and content! Real Italian food - fresh!
This is a wonderful restaurant - the food is consistently excellent and truly Italian. I've had great pasta with truffle oil, a delicious and different chicken salad, a fine beef with shaved asiago over arugula with pasta - all wonderful. [04 Dec 2004 16:02:09]

Great place for dinner, first time customer
Just moved here from San Diego, CA checking out the local fare in our new hometown, of Hayward. Love Italian so my husband and I had dinner dinner at this restaurant. I go just for the free bread and dip appetizer they give you while you wait, it was tasty and wonderful. Service was great. The food was very good, would totally suggest it for dinner. We had the lasagna and it was the best. Smell wasnt so hot in the restaurant, smelled bleach/ammonia but must be old cleaning products and dirty rags, sponges they used Besides this loved it.
