Mmm, mmm, Good!
I'm an East Coaster, but got hooked on Caspers when I visited family in the Hayward area. These are the best dogs I've ever had! The staff is friendly and polite and is quick to offer suggestions of their favorites (if you're not sure of your own.) The dogs are little pricey, but for the flavor, they are definitely worth the money.    [23 Apr 2004 12:54:40]

A Lifelong Addiction!
I think I was maybe 6 or 7 years old when I ate my first Caspers hot dog, in the old stand on D Street, near where the City Hall used to be (until they realized that the fault ran under it, I think!) I am now over 60, and every time I return to Hayward I make it a point to return to the old stand to get a fix of Caspers Hot Dogs. So little has changed in the intervening 50+ years that the color flakes have worn completely out of the formica counter tops! You can see what they used to look like if you look at the places where the counters are vertical. The place was recently remodeled on the outside, but only slightly... it still looks the same, and the interior looks unchanged. And I swear the hot dogs taste exactly the same now as they did 50 years ago - they just cost a lot more!    [27 Sep 2006 19:35:51]

Damn good dog...... :)
My friend told me to try Caspers cause they were really good. I said dude most hotdogs taste the same to me other than Nathans. I have to admit Caspers is absolutely the best hot dog I ever had. I even buy them at the supermarket, pricey, yes, but worth the splurge. The chili cheese dog at the Dublin location hits the spot every time.    [19 Jan 2007 12:55:38]
