Well before Healdsburg CA was a destination for visitors, Ravenous was a destination for locals, particularly those of us in the food and wine business. Its move from the original 8-table postage stamp to larger quarters could have wreaked havoc but it has, instead, simply increased access. The food is incredible but I haven't rated it that way because while it is easily the best food of its kind in Sonoma County, there are places in Napa, SF, LA, and NYC where I've enjoyed food on the same level.    [03 Sep 2003 17:19:59]

The food was elegantly presented, delicious, plentiful and an eclectic selection. Don't forget the dessert! Especially the Pear upside down tort. this is to die for!!

The service was attentive and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting.
Get there early or make reservations because this place is definitely a hidden treasure that locals patronize.
