Mama Mia thats a spicy calzone
This Hesperia restaurant is a local landmark and the only choice you should make for Italian dining in the High Desert area. I have been coming back for years but have pretty much stayed true to my personal favorites.

Pasta dishes are authentic and good but you gotta try the calzone!!! Have it stuffed with everything you love about Italian food and enjoy! For those unfamiliar with this delicious baked Italian sandwich-type dish, its basically a sealed up pizza with all the goodness melted inside and waiting to ooze out all over and down your chin. I like mine stuffed with ricotta, mozarella, sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms and the delicious marinara sauce and then more sauce on the side. My second favorite is any of the pizzas! The crust is crispy authentic and delicious. Nothing is frozen here.

A little pricey and at first glance outside you may have second thoughts. Inside it's really charming, small and cozy and usually quite packed on the usual nites. A popular date spot and very popular with locals. If anyone outside of Hesperia discovered this place, I don't think they could handle the extra business. Full bar, checkered tablecloths and candles. What more could you want? Oh and enjoy the almost continuous sounds of Mr, Frank Sinatra playing in the background. Bada Bing! That's Italian!    [10 Jun 2006 01:38:44]

Poor Service
After visiting this restaurant and receiving horrible service, I called to speak with the owner the following day. The person answering the phone was completely rude and would not give me the owner's name or allow me to talk to him. I will never go back to this restaurant.    [09 Jun 2008 20:20:56]
