excellent value surprising quality My wife and I took two of our friends to this modest Mexican restaurant.
The menu featured excellent variety, and the stuffed shrimp in peppers appetizer was a treat. We loved the smooth and creamy guacamole, and the mole sauce was tangy and smoky flavored, very good, and we all agreed. We sampled the cheese and beef enchiladas, the chili rellenos, and the chicken tacos. All of us praised the service, the cleanliness. And the conversation with the owner and his wife.
The tortilla chips were served hot and the house salsa and chip sauce were a treat to start with..the beer was served with chilled beer glasses, and the margaritas were perfect.
You will be delighted to have a meal at this modest yet surprising restaurant. They have two locations in Indio. We will be back.
You can have combination plates specials of the house, or order ala carte, an excellent value; with a drink a full meal is in the $10 to $15 category. Unique entrees, plus standard Mexican items. [20 Feb 2007 22:23:20]

Top of the Class My wife and I have lived in the Coachella Valley over eight years now and have frequented a number of good Mexican restaurants.
After having driven past this small and modest little restaurant on Indio Blvd. for years, we decided to stop in and WOW -- I can now say we've found the top of the class!
Family-owned and operated. You walk in and they immediately make you feel welcomed and like family. Your choice of either a booth or table in a very clean and cozy setting.
We've sampled a little of everything on the menu. Whether you're in the mood for basic Mexican cuisine, either a la carte or in combination, or ready for some great seafood, it's all EXCELLENT.
Authentic preparation, appealing presentation with good portion size, distinctive favors and tastes and just plain excellent value. [30 Nov 2008 08:38:30]
