a bit out of the way It has been a few years but my meals at Manka's were most memorable. Both times I ate there it was on a Monday the night they have their small plate menu. My quail was cooked over the fire at the fireplace in the dining room perfectly. I still salivate at the memory of the black pepper polenta. And the plate presentations are wonderful, i.e. a salad of oakleaf lettuce w/ slices of apple, pomagranet seeds and carmalized walnuts could be easily mistaken for the floor of an untrampled forest. Overpriced Overpriced, poor service. I suggest you eat elsewhere for less. [11 Jun 2006 22:35:44]

A Place To Celebrate Life Every meal I've had here, I've thought: this is the best food I've ever tasted. Prepare to spend the evening relaxing over each course of fresh local food. You can see the chefs through the glass doors. The presentation and smells and tastes show the care that goes into each day's menu. The views from the windows reflect the change of seasons, ivy climbs into the old dining room windows. Off to the down-filled beds. The fog creeps into the morning windows, a fire greets you as you toddle down for waffles, whipped cream and Dolly's blackberry jam. We'll be back for more! [30 Jul 2006 00:58:10]
